Holiday Scheduling

Idea from the Dev450 course.

Universal Company uses Campaigns to track events. An event was scheduled to start on a Public Holiday. They need to ensure that an event can not be scheduled on a public holiday.

Events are multi-day and they use Campaign Start Date and Campaign End date to store the dates.  

Upsell Opportunities

Universal Company Support Reps sometimes get calls from Clients who wish to purchase additional products or services. Currently cases are being assigned to sales managers who manually create upsell opportunities. To avoid manual effort they would like to have a specific status to close cases with where the case will close an generate an upsell opportunity and assign to the rep who is the account owner.

They will need the close date 90 days from today, Type is Upsell, Opportunity Name is Account Name - Upsell. 

Custom Lead Convert

Universal company has information on the Lead that is pertinent to both Contacts and Opportunities from lead conversion. Make Fields A, B, C, and D pass to both the Contact and the Opportunity upon conversion.

They should pass to picklist fields on the Contact and Opportunity that can be changed on either record after conversion.

Marketing Segmentation

The Marketing Manger at Universal Company wants to segment their customer data on Suburb (City) but the data is dirty. i.e Saint Johns Wood, SJW, St John's Wood, St Johns in the Suburb (City) field.

Event Certificate

Idea from the Dev450 course, but highly modified. Plus idea from Deepa Patel

After their client attends an event, the attendee receives a certificate, Universal Company wants to record the certifcations each Contact receives and email them a list of their certifications held one week after attending an event. 

Events are in Campaigns, attendance is in Campaign Member.
