OMG, how much do I loooove this extension, and can not do Salesforce without it. 

Benefits

Show Field Metadata

  • Can see the formula for a field

  • Can quickly jump to the Setup for that field. 

  • Can see the API name for that field

Show All Data

  • Can see data without having the field on the page layout - no more Admin only page layouts or sections saying "Ignore This" or "Testing Purposes Only"

  • Can edit data without having the field on the page layout. 

  • Can see ALL fields on the object, and what data they have in them currently

  • Can search for field name or field labels

  • Can quickly jump to the Setup for that field. 

  • Can see the formula of that field. 

Good Things

  • See All Data does work in Lightning

Issues

  • View Metadata doesn't work in Lightning

  • Edit doesn't work for Person Accounts

  • I would love to be able to see which page layout a field is on - but Enabler4Excel can help with that if you have Enterprise version

  • It previously opened view in a Popup, now it opens in a full window and takes over your record - I would like it to open in a new tab, I keep losing records. 

  • If there are two fields with the same label, Metadata can not distinguish them.
